'Changing the Tides' (Collaboration)

"Changing the Tides" is a collaborative initiative formed by seven Fine Art students committed to fostering community engagement in Plymouth and its surrounding areas. Our primary goal is to raise awareness about the environmental threats facing our oceans, particularly the impact of plastic waste. 

 

To achieve this, we have organized a series of interactive workshops designed to build community connections and encourage environmental stewardship. During these workshops, participants gather recycled plastics collected from local beaches and parks, transforming them into creative and whimsical fish-like figures. This hands-on approach not only sparks creativity but also highlights the critical issue of ocean pollution. 

 

By combining art and environmental advocacy, we aim to inspire our community to take meaningful action in protecting our seas and to cultivate a sense of shared responsibility for our natural habitats.
