Fragments

'Fragments' consists of found ceramic pieces from Devon and Cornwall, arranged as land markers on  a map, that have been taken away and left for the imagination
 

"Fragments" is an installation piece displayed on a wall made of found broken pottery. The ceramic pieces were discovered washed up along the shores of Devon and Cornwall and have been given a new purpose.

I chose to project a map of Devon and Cornwall, using the ceramics as landmarks to indicate where they were found. Afterwards, the projection was removed, leaving a disjointed image of these locations and creating a sense of suspense for the audience.

Curation played a significant role in this project alongside the process of collecting, i am very pleased with the outcome of how this installation was displayed.
